Dr. Oyarzun received his medical degree from the University of Chile, School of Medicine in Santiago, Chile, in 1985. He completed his general surgery internship at Mount Sinai Hospital and North General Hospital in New York, NY. He completed his cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, NJ. He is the author of numerous publications and frequently presents research findings at medical conferences and assemblies. Dr. Oyarzun is also an instructor at Oregon State University and the Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery for Western University of Health Sciences.
