The Oregon Clinic Expands Urology Specialty

PORTLAND, Ore., July 1, 2015 — The Oregon Clinic, Oregon’s largest private specialty physician practice, continues to grow and welcomes the physicians and staff of The Urology Clinic to its expanding urological practice. The group brings seven board certified physicians to the team—Gregory Alan Cost, MD, Sajal C. Dutta, MD, Michael J. Kaempf, MD, Jin-Hee Kim, MD, Jessica D. Lubahn, MD, Gregory B. McCoy, MD, and Kevin M. McEvoy, MD.

Now known as The Oregon Clinic – Advanced Urology Associates, their urological practice includes experts in every urologic specialty, including minimally invasive surgery, kidney stone treatment, prostate disease treatment, incontinence, urologic oncology, infertility and erectile dysfunction. They will continue to practice at their six office locations in Portland, Tualatin, and St. Helens.

The Oregon Clinic recognizes that patients need specialty care services, such as highly specialized urological care, close to home. With the addition of this outstanding group, The Oregon Clinic expands its private specialty practice to more than 200 providers and 54 specialty clinics.

Dr. Cost completed his medical degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in 1991. He completed his residency in urology at Stanford University School of Medicine in 1997. He is Board Certified in Urology and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Urology. He was recently selected as the Medical Director for Robotic Surgery, Providence Health System Oregon Region. Dr. Cost is interested in all areas of adult urology and specializes in minimally invasive techniques, including robotic surgery and laparoscopic surgery. When he is not practicing urology, he enjoys running, cycling, and sailing.

Dr. Dutta completed his medical degree at the University of Southern California School of Medicine in 1996. He completed his internship and residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and has been practicing in Oregon since 2002. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Urology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Dutta has extensive experience in minimally invasive treatments for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), stone disease, and use of the DaVinci surgical system for genitourinary cancers. He is currently head of robotics at Emanuel Hospital. In addition, he has conducted research into how specific urologic treatments affect quality of life for patients. When he is not practicing urology, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. Running, golf, skiing and USC football are also some of his interests.

Dr. Kaempf completed his medical degree at the University of Oregon Medical School in 1972. He completed his internship and urology residency at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles County Medical Center in 1977. He is a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Urology in Adult and Pediatric Urology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Kaempf specializes in treating Urology diseases with minimally invasive and Robotic surgery and Lasers, endoscopic treatment of kidney stones, male infertility (no-scalpel vasectomy, microscopic sperm aspiration and vasectomy reversal), prostate diseases, and impotence. When he is not practicing urology, he enjoys sports, skiing, and running.

Dr. Kim obtained her medical degree at the UCLA School of Medicine in 1995 and completed her residency at UCLA in 2002. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Urology and is a candidate for subspecialty certification in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery.  Dr. Kim welcomes patients in all aspects of Adult Urology, including endourology, minimally invasive surgery, oncology, female incontinence and pelvic floor reconstruction. When she is not practicing urology, she enjoys literature, horseback riding, hiking with her dogs and traveling.

Dr. Lubahn completed her medical degree from the Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine in 2008. She completed her residency at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Urology. Her practice interests include General Urology, Women’s Care, Minimally Invasive Surgery, Robotic Surgery and Reconstructive Surgery. When she is not practicing urology, she enjoys traveling, hiking, and snowboarding.

Dr. McCoy completed his medical degree from Vanderbilt University in 1981 and his residency at Oregon Health & Sciences University in Portland in 1987. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Urology. He is a Fellow of the American Urologic Association, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of the Oregon Urologic Society and a Delegate of the Multnomah County Medical Society. His practice interests include robotic prostatectomy, seed implants for prostate cancer, laser and microwave treatment of prostatic obstruction, endoscopic kidney stone procedures and other minimally invasive surgery techniques. He also specializes in no scalpel vasectomy, microscopic vasectomy reversal and sling procedures for female incontinence. When he is not practicing urology, he enjoys fishing, golfing, biking, cooking, cinema and literature.

Dr. McEvoy completed his medical degree from Loyola University in 1985 and his residency at the University of Southern California (USC) in 1991. He completed a Kidney Transplant Fellowship at USC in 1996. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Urology. He is also a Transplant Surgeon with Legacy Good Samaritan Transplant Services. His practice interests include urologic diseases and processes that affect kidney function. When he is not practicing urology, he enjoys walking his dog, gardening, vacationing with his family, and spending time in the mountains.
