A former police offer, Dr. Nance now helps people by treating complex foot and ankle conditions such as plantar fasciitis, sports-related injuries, and diabetic limb salvage 

The Oregon Clinic is pleased to welcome Zackery D. Nance, DPM, to its Podiatry group in Portland. Dr. Nance is a board-qualified podiatry doctor who recently completed his surgical residency through the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Podiatric Residency Program. Dr. Nance specializes in rearfoot & ankle reconstruction, diabetic limb salvage, sports-related injuries, plantar fasciitis, hammertoe correction, and routine foot care.

My time spent in Pittsburgh has equipped me with the knowledge and surgical experience to confidently take my skills to Portland and continue to provide excellent care. I believe in an honest patient-doctor relationship that keeps the patient’s best interest at the forefront in making collaborative decisions when it comes to each individual’s foot-care needs,” said Dr. Nance.

Dr. Nance graduated from Weber State University in Ogden, Utah in 2010 with a B.S. in microbiology. During this time he served as vice president for the student chapter of the American College of Foot and Ankle Orthopedics and Medicine. He went on to receive his doctorate from the College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at Des Moines University in 2011. Prior to his medical education and training, Dr. Nance served as a SWAT member and police officer from 2002-2005 in Utah.
Dr. Nance belongs to a number of professional organizations including the American Society of Podiatric Surgeons, the College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, and the American Podiatric Medical Association. Additionally, he has given multiple presentations and lectures on a wide variety of topics, including rheumatoid arthritis, ankle fracture, and diabetic related injuries.
Outside of the office, Dr. Nance enjoys hiking and fishing with his three children, golfing, and rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
