About Me

I am always impressed with the results of taking a few extra minutes with a patient. This additional time spent in consultation and discussion about their disease regularly improves not only our relationship, but also the quality of care they receive. I strive to have each patient truly participate in their individual treatment plan.

Dr. Cummings graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and later completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Maryland Medical Systems. He later finished his pulmonary and critical care medicine fellowship at The John Hopkins University Hospital. He currently focuses on pulmonary arterial hypertension, critical care medicine and general pulmonary medicine at The Oregon Clinic - Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine. He is a member of several associations and organizations, and a leader in clinic and hospital administration. He was the Medical Staff President at Providence Portland Medical Center from 2015-2017, and is currently an Executive Vice President of The Oregon Clinic.
